What Makes Us Different?

Natives French Instructors

All of our French instructors are native speakers and have extensive backgrounds in teaching and working with children at multiple age levels. No prior knowledge of French is required to participate at Le Camp d'été!

Sports, Arts and Science

Our camps have a rich diversity of activities each week, giving campers variety to keep them engaged and having as much fun as possible.

Free Extended Hours

We offer free morning care from 8:00am to 9:00am and aftercare from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. We know parents are very busy!

Field Trips for Ages 5 and Above (Junior Campers)

Every Wednesday we go on fun-filled field trips to various locations around the Bay Area!

Our Mission

Le Camp d'Été is an extension program of Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley, providing a unique preschool to 5th grade bilingual program that develops students into curious, confident and creative learners. Children will learn and/or expand French skills in a nurturing and fun atmosphere on our campus in West Berkeley. Previous exposure to French language is not required. We offer a valuable experience for all children!

Our Campus

Mini camp will take place in our preschool, which is located at our Lower School campus at 1009 Heinz Avenue in Berkeley.

Junior Camp will take place at our lower school campus from June 22nd to July 17th. From July 20th to July 31st Junior Camp will take place at our Middle School Campus, located 2 blocks away at 901 Grayson Street in Berkeley.

Our lower and middle school campuses are located in beautiful West Berkeley. Our lower school houses all of the classes from preschool through fifth grade, as well as a library (open to parents!), science lab, multi-purpose room, art and music rooms, a garden, as well as a small gym with gymnastics and tumbling equipment. The main playground is home to a large play structure, and lots of room to run and play. The preschool classes have their own yard and play structure. Our middle school houses a library, science lab, organic garden, and a large playground with basketball courts and ample room to run and play.

Please note: Ecole Bilingue is a fully functioning school, and as such, summer maintenance is required to update and upkeep our facilities. Therefore there will be intermittent, light construction taking place at times during the camp. Please know that we will work diligently to minimize impact to our programs.
