No prior French is required.                                                                   Morning Snack is provided by camp. Lunch provided by family.

Activities in French

We introduce and reinforce French acquisition through specialized French instruction periods during two periods in the morning. These activities will include basic language skills like learning greetings, colors, animal names, food names, simple social interactions, songs, reading, and arts and crafts. All learning revolves around the bi-weekly themes. Our program also focuses on social-emotional learning and helps mini campers gain social skills through everyday interactions.

After the morning activities, lunch, and recess, the children will settle down for their afternoon nap/quiet time, followed by independent play and dismissal. All lunch and nap schedules will remain similar to an EB school day. Please note, children are encouraged but not required to sleep during naptime.

What to Expect in Class Learning Sessions

  • Movement: developing fine and gross motor skills as well as coordination through various games and movement activities.

  • Science:  exploring botany, chemistry and biology through cooking, experimenting, and hands-on activities

Learning Outside The Classroom

Mini Campers will also benefit from our educational spaces outside of the classroom. We will utilize the Mini-Gym for gymnastics, the edible garden for lessons on nature and botany and our library to hear special stories or read their own. There will also be special times to take a "field trip" to the Big Yard to make mud pies in the creek, play on the structure and have a soccer game.
