THE ART LAB for children in grades 3-6 and runs on the Ecole Bilingue campus concurrently with the French Immersion Camp. It is lead by our current assistant director, Joe Parreira, who runs our daily and popular Art and Fun Room during our afterschool program. Joe prides himself on his dedication to using as many recycled materials as possible in his art room. He excels in combining art with Social-Emotional learning.

THE ART LAB will introduce your camper to a variety of projects intended to spark curiosity, creativity and joy. The campers will work on a week long collaborative project as well as be able to explore more personal interests within the camp using a myriad of methods and materials. Each week will bring the chance to express themselves using:

• Cooking
• Gardening
• Robotics
• Architecture
• Art
• Science
• Crafting

Campers may enroll for a single week or choose to enroll for both weeks. Each week brings new and different projects, as well as standard favorites, such as edible slime and disassembling household appliances for reuse.

Campers will spend their recesses and lunch together with the rest of the camp.

Extended Care is available for children enrolled in THE ART LAB. They will join the children from immersion camp at 3:00 and be served an organic snack before free play.

NOTE: This camp presumes an interest in developing craft-skill and demands periods of collaboration, creative focus and self-direction. 

This camp is open to children from rising 3rd to rising 6th only.
