Junior Camp is open to rising 1st to 6th graders. Camp runs from June 21 to July 29th, 2022.

French Classes in the Morning

Designed to teach the fundamentals of the French language (and/or to maintain the knowledge of French), the classes take place each day (except for field trip days) for two periods of 75 minutes each and are taught by native and experienced French instructors.

The objective of this program is to introduce children to the French language and culture at an early age, when they still have a linguistic openness and can easily learn a second language.

The curriculum promotes the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The classes are designed for both beginners and intermediate French speakers. Prior French is not required and students are assessed at the beginning of camp and grouped according to their French levels as well as age.

Activities in the Afternoon

At Le Camp d'Été, we believe that the recipe for a successful summer consists of the right mix between languages, sports, arts, sciences and performing arts. Despite COVID-19 limitations we will do our best to continue our dedication to rich daily experiences. All our activity instructors are well recognized afterschool and camp professionals operating in the Bay Area. Instructors will be assisted by our camp staff during their sessions.

  • Monday - Sports, Movement, and Games
  • Tuesdays - Performing Arts (Music, Theater, Dance)
  • Wednesdays - Arts and Crafts
  • Thursdays - Science and Maker Activities
  • Fridays - Cooking and Baking

Field Trips

Field Trips are likely to be back in our camp line up this summer but with COVID we cannot say for certain. If they do resume, field trips will take place every Wednesday and will be to a variety of fun destinations such as museums, parks, beaches, the zoo, and other local bay area locations. We charter yellow buses or take public transportation to all field trips. Field trips will be announced in March and listed on this website.
